The Choir has about 45 members with a range of musical skills. Social enjoyment, a sense of achievement and the enhancement of musical skills are probably the reasons for most people joining and belonging to the choir.
Naturally, additonal members are very welcome and as is common amongst choirs these days the choir would be better balanced by having some more men.
Our pratices take place on Thursday evenings from 7.30 until 9.30pm at St. Francis School in London Road Maldon and generally follows School term dates. Production of a public concert (sometimes with an orchestra) towards the end of each term and a Christmas concert is the objective.
By all means visit for a few weeks and join in with some rehearsals before deciding whether or not to join.
